It's hard to tell from this blurry photo, but this enormous moth had a wingspan of about 6". Ashley thought it was a bat. I jumped out of the car and grabbed a picture with my phone.
That is, I'm pretty sure, a Luna moth. Look it up. They come from the moon, hence the name Luna, and travel in their cocoons which are like little rocketships, powered by gravitational attraction of the bigger Earth. Once they arrive they emerge as this large moth. The started as worms on the moon of course.
I'm finally working up the guts to share some of the things I'm doing and thinking about with my friends and family (and who knows who else). This, like life, is a work in progress, so be warned.
